John Jermy, eldest son of Sir Isaac Jermy, knight, died 23 December 1662.

Mary, wife of John Jermy, dau. & heir of William Rowe, 2nd son of Sir William Rowe knight, died 28 June 1664.

Underneath the niche are two black tablets with the following inscriptions.

Here lyes y^e body of John Jermy, Esq, eldest sonne of S^r Isaac Jermy, K^t. He married Mary Rowe, the daughter & heire of William Rowe, Esq, second sonne of S^r William Rowe K^t. He had issue William Jermy, Esq, who married one of y^e daughters of Phillip Bedingfield, Esq; Anne Jermy, who married S^r Thomas Norton, Baronet, and Eliza, who married M^r Knowles, Gent., of London. He lived religeously & spent his time laboriously in writing many divine & learned manuscripts for his own comfort & for the benefit of those that should succeed him. He died at y^e age of 61 in y^e yeare 1662 & no doubt he reigns victoriously in y^e highest heavens.
This monument was set up by his widow y^e yeare 1664.
